The main interconnections of the U.S. electric power grid and the 10 North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) regions.
As the map above shows, most of Texas is powered by one grid. This is done through the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (or ERCOT). Some of the outlying regions, though, like East Texas are not.
