The conflict between the fuel saving and system life-time is the heart of the dispatch/control problems in a wind/hybrid system. The crucial consideration of the control system is the fluctuation of the wind speed. The correct prediction of wind speed will be very helpful in the system dispatch and control. This paper proposed a new approach which utilizes a fuzzy neural network to predict wind speed. On the basis of the prediction, the wind hybrid system might approach an optimal performance. |
