White Deer, Site 14, is located 8 miles to the West-northwest of White Deer TX. It is a site that was taken over from Seawest, installed by Texas Wind Power, and is a Rohn 25 G tower with 50 m tall, 6 guywires and 1 ft face width. Original booms were mounted at 50 and 20 m and had a single wind speed and wind direction at each level. We upgraded loggers to add solar and temp and more heights. Booms were 1.5" angle aluminum 5'ft long bolted with u-bolts to tower face, we added 1" EMT booms for extra sensors with 1/2" risers for sensor mounts. Booms are mounted to face of tower with hose clamps and u-bolts.
