La
Paloma, Site 21, was on a ranch/game researve on a Texas Department of
Public Safety (D.P.S.) radio tower about 8 miles west of Sarita Texas.
Tower was a Rohn 55G with separate ladder on the southeast face, about
60 m tall. Booms were 1" EMT with 1/2" risers and mounted to the southeast
face extending out on opposite sides of the tower.
Site Description: 27.2 Deg. North, 97.8 Deg. West,
11m elevation, flat field in middle of cultivated wheat/sourghum fields
to north and east, tall thin grass around tower base to 30m from base (within
guy wire radius), cattle feed pens to southwest 300m from tower base, radio
shed to southeast of tower base 3m away, 3m tall.
