Raymondville,
Site 22, is on a Texas Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) radio tower
inside the D.O.T. office/work area on the north side of Raymondville, TX.
The tower is a free standing Rohn SSV (same style as on radio hill in Guadalupe
Pass). The logger is mounted on the south face near the leg with climbing
rungs and the booms are 1" EMT mounted close to this leg (south west) and
pointed to the north west and south east using a strut to clamp to. Upper
tower section is straight and about 6 ft wide.
Site Description: 26.5 Deg. North, 97.8 Deg. West,
15m elevation, shop /maintenance yard for D.O.T. Flat paved lot to south,
garage to southwest (5m tall, 25m away), farmland to north and east, cattle
feedlot to south 240m, radio shed to immediate south of tower 3m tall.
