Rio
Grande, Site 23, is located about 14 miles north of Rio Grande Citym, Texas
on an American Towers tower. This is a guyed tower with pipe (3/4 ") connecting
the legs. The tower is about 4' wide and is a constant width the entire
tower. The logger is mounted on the southeast face of the tower. The sensor
booms are fixed to the North face of the tower and point to opposite sides
of the towers at 10, 25, and 40m.
Site Description: 26.5 Deg. North, 98.7 Deg. West,
147m Elevation, The lands of the Rio Grande valley have lots of cactus,
mesquite like shrubs (3m and less tall) and little else. The tower is located
on a swelling east-west ridgeline with good exposure in all directions.
