Professional Profile
David is an Assistant Director of
the Alternative Energy Institute at West Texas A&M
University.
He has over ten years experience working in the electronics field, with
the
last 8 being involved in alternative energy research.
David
has been involved
in renewable energy projects with the U.S. Department of Energy, the
National
Renewable Energy Laboratory, the Texas Department of Transportation,
Texas Parks
and Wildlife Department, the Japan Wind Energy Association, and the
government
of Singapore.
These projects have ranged from data collection and analysis, to
photovoltaics,
wind, geothermal, and passive solar installations.
Research and Other Activity
David has a B.S. and M.S. degree in
Engineering Technology from West Texas A&M University
in Canyon., Texas.
Teaching and Other Service
David has co-authored
papers and presented a poster presentation
for the American Wind Energy Association, published articles in various
national
and international journals, and has been interviewed as a “wind energy
expert” by local and national media.
He is currently managing
the
small wind turbine testing on the WTAMU campus as well as overseeing
the
relocation and construction of a new testing facility south of Canyon.
