Alternative Energy Institute

West Texas A&M University

AEI was formed in 1977 at West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. AEI's is a world famous wind energy development center.  Long term cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, ARS Laboratory, Bushland, Texas, has resulted in research programs for the direct application of renewables to rural and remote uses.

Institute for Energy & Environment

New Mexico State University

The Institute for Energy and the Environment is a multidisciplinary, energy sector research and development Institute founded within the College of Engineering, which began renewable energy programs back in 1977. IEE is experienced with solar, wind, and environmental engineering. IEE has  project development experience with wind energy monitoring and systems including extensive international renewables development experience.
